“Parable of the Lost Son"
Bottom Line: Jesus reminds us to celebrate and focus on progress toward God, not mistakes.
- Which of the characters in the parable did you relate to most, and why?
- Have you seen someone, like the younger son, make poor choices and then decide to stop doing that and better their life? What happened? How did others react when they began to live in a more God-honoring way?
- Like the father in the parable, what can you do to celebrate and support someone who has chosen to come back to God?
- Challenge: Ask God to reveal to you if there's someone in your life who you've been holding accountable for past actions who have changed since then. Ask God to help you forgive them.
