The Rock

We tend to look at Bible heroes as “larger than life,” but the truth is they are no different than you or me.  The disciples were average, ordinary people that Jesus called to follow Him.  One of the most “average” disciples was a man named Simon.  Simon was a fisherman.  He was an average, ordinary guy.   When Jesus called Simon to follow Him, this average guy began to experience and do extraordinary things. There was nothing special about him, but when he obeyed Jesus—he began to do incredible things.


Jesus changed Simon’s name to “Peter.”  Peter means “ROCK.”  Jesus declared that Peter would be someone He would use to build His church. Peter went on to be one of the most influential leaders in the early church.  Miracles followed everywhere Peter went.



In this series, your children will learn that they can be used by God in a big way!  God specializes in using the average, the ordinary, the not-so-special.  It’s the best way for Him to prove that HE is the one who deserves the glory—not us!  We pray your children enjoy learning about the disciple that Jesus called “THE ROCK.”

E-Kids Nursery

While adults are in worship service, we want children to experience much more than safe, dependable childcare.  We want to welcome them into a caring environment designed just for them!  It is our desire to teach our little ones that:

1. God loves them.

2. They are His special creation.

3. Jesus wants to be their best friend.

What to Bring: Please bring diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifier and label your child's belongings. 

Wellness Policy:

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for every child, we request that parents take responsibility for making sure their children are well before bringing them to the nursery.  Please make sure the children are symptom free for at least 24 hours before bringing them to their class. 

E-Kids Junior

E Kids Junior church is especially for ages 3-Kindergarten.  


Kids will participate in worship, where they are encouraged to sing and dance and interact with their leaders.  Following worship, they participate in a creative presentation of the Bible story.  During the Bible lesson there is a brief time to talk about what they have learned.  They will pray together as we teach them what it means to talk to God.  


During the last part of their morning, they will participate in fun activities and at times free time where they will play in small groups and be kids. 

E-Kids ministry

Kids are a great asset no matter how small!  We take great pride in investing in the lives of children.  The Bible tells us to "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Proverbs 22:6 (NLT)

E Kids every Sunday morning @ 9:00 & 10:45.


What will your child experience in E Kids? Great question! 

Worship, Skits, A challenge from God's Word, your child will also have an opportunity to connect with the other kids through E Kids events and Summer Camp. 

They will not want to miss one moment of the fun.

"BGMC is the AG missions program for kids that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world."
